About April. . .
April discovered her love of writing when she was just ten years old and began to create short stories which she would give to friends. She edited her high school and college newspapers but put her writing on hold when she married, began a teaching career, and had a family. She wrote some professional articles as well as a monthly newsletter for teachers during her career, but once her children were grown, she wrote and published her first book, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Her second book fulfilled her dream of publishing a novel. April has retired from teaching but continues to write at the home in East Texas that she shares with her husband and two Boston terriers. When she isn’t writing she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, decorating, junking, hunting, camping in her vintage trailer, and visiting zoos.
